Standing Together: Our Support for Breast Cancer Awareness 🩷
At Seleny International, we believe caring for our community means recognizing the experiences that touch so many lives. This October, we’re adding our voice to breast cancer awareness and standing with people affected by breast cancer, their families, friends, and caregivers.
Behind every pink ribbon is a personal story. There are people navigating a diagnosis, people undergoing treatment, people living with metastatic breast cancer, and people adjusting to life after treatment. There are also those remembering someone they love. Every experience deserves compassion, dignity, and space to be heard.
Awareness begins with listening
Supporting awareness is about more than wearing pink. It means making room for honest conversations, sharing trustworthy information, and listening without assuming we know what someone is going through.
It also means remembering that there is no single “right” way to feel. Some people find comfort in sharing their story. Others prefer privacy. We can support both by following their lead and offering care without expectations.
Small gestures can mean a great deal
A thoughtful message, help with an everyday task, or simply being present can offer meaningful support. Instead of searching for perfect words, we can start with something simple: “I’m here for you. What would be helpful today?”
For those looking to learn more, seek out established cancer organizations and qualified healthcare professionals for information about breast health and screening appropriate to your circumstances.
Our message to our community
To everyone affected by breast cancer: you matter, your experience matters, and you deserve support that respects your needs.
At Seleny International, our message this month is one of solidarity and compassion. We invite our community to carry that spirit beyond October by listening, learning, and showing up for one another throughout the year.
Together, we can make more room for understanding, connection, and care.
